This is very useful if you are playing on a mobile device, such as a laptop or even a Windows tablet, and the device is getting overheated. Even on a desktop gaming rig, you can easily reduce fan noise with this simple trick. And since most people have 60Hz monitors, then limiting the FPS to 60 is a sensible idea, as you won’t be able to see anything above that anyway.

There are three main steps:
1. Open the “Options” menu and click on “Game Settings”.
2. Make sure “Enable developer console” is set to “Yes”.
3. Next, press the tilde key, which is directly underneath Esc. The Developer Console will open. Type “fps_max 60” – without quotes – and press Enter.

Now there will be no more problems with noisy graphics cards or laptops erupting in flames. You will be able to enjoy hours of CSGO gameplay.
