How the CS:GO coaching ban changed the game

Additions and tweaks are constantly made to every esport title, with some games being changed on what seems like a near weekly basis.

New characters, new items, new levels and even new mechanics are added to help ensure games remain interesting for casual fans and die-hard players alike.

But in CS:GO, one change made outside the game itself — the ban on coaches speaking during rounds — redefined how organizations structured their entire rosters, and put the spotlight on players who could lead their team from the front lines.
